About The Bridge Centre
Australia has a large, friendly duplicate bridge community: about 32,000 registered players and more than 330 clubs affiliated with the Australian Bridge Federation. What it has lacked is one trusted place that takes a new player from their first lesson through club nights, congresses and teams events.
The Bridge Centre is that place: a learning hub that follows one pathway, Student → Beginner → Intermediate → Advanced.
What we offer
- A six-week Learn Bridge course in Standard American, with a self-study workbook and homework podcast
- Next Steps in Bridge, a 12-week improvers' program
- Plain-English reference material: cheat sheets, system cards, scoring and movements
- Help to find somewhere to play, always pointing to the official ABF sources so details stay current
How we work
We complement clubs, teachers, Directors and the ABF's own education pages. We don't replace them. Official rules stay with the ABF and the World Bridge Federation; we explain them and link to the source.
Privacy
We count visits so we know which lessons help people and where our visitors come from. We do this without cookies and without collecting personal information:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, the country a visit comes from, the type of device and browser, and which site linked to us.
- GoatCounter counts the same kind of information, plus how often each podcast episode is played and which files are downloaded.
Neither service identifies you, follows you to other websites or sells data. We only ever see totals, such as "120 visits from Victoria this week". If you use a browser setting or add-on that blocks counting, the site works exactly the same.
